Everyone will enjoy a comfortable sailing trip on the ‘Twister’, whether at the helm, on deck or in the wheelhouse. This luxury schooner has an exceptionally pleasant guest room in the wheelhouse and a beautiful bar in the stern. The 8 cabins can accomodate up to 20 persons, for daytrips the ship can take up to 55 guests. Her modern rigging and the gracefull design has proven her a fast and comfortable sailing vessel on the ocean and seas. Skipper and owner André Hanzens has experience on many oceans and will be pleased to take you along into the wonderful world of sailing.

The Twisetr was built in 1902 as a wooden sailing trawler, she fished the north sea until she was completely rebuilt in steel and mototized in 1957. She fished until 1981 when she was decommisioned and sold for scrap, fortunately this was not to be her final destination, various owners took up the challenge but had to sell when money got short. Andre Hanzens bought her in 1992 and worked on the renovation of the ship until she was ready for her new life in 1998. She is now perfectly suited for her new lease of life and has proven her qualities in any weather!
